Exciting Times

Exciting Times!!! A new homeschool year has begun. The boys are doing great and we are loving are new set up!!! That is the first exciting thing going on in the Mallory Home.




Another exciting thing is that my new business is coming together. Snap and Scrap has been a dream of mine for a long time. It is coming to fruition with the help of friends and family.
I had a booth in the Gold Rush Festival to promote by business and I got several bookings. Mostly Seniors, which I love to shoot.






I am also over the moon excited about becoming a Creative Team Member at Designer Digitals. I got the call in August and I have been on Cloud Nine. I am able to work with the best digital designers and showcase their products. It is such a blessing!!!





One last piece of exciting news for now - I am guest teaching at Masterful Scrapbook Design again this month! The focus is on Design Play. I'm able to share my knowledge about scrapbooking while learning so much from my fellow scrappers. There will be a webinar today at 11:00 am. I'd love for you to join us where we will be discussing the design principles used on pages like these...





I have been super busy, but I am doing what I love and I am so thankful for these exciting times!!! ~Amy

Art Says It

I currently have art supplies all over my house! I truly do look like the starving artist that I am today! :) The mess is okay because we are working and creating up a storm! The boys are creating their projects for the "Art Says It" portion of Lads to Leaders. This is a fun way for them to use their creative outlets. I have rubbed off on my boys in more ways than one. Not only are they artists in their own right, they are messy artists, just like their Mommy! Switching to digital scrapbooking is the best thing I ever did. However, it did feel really good to dig into the art supplies and get really messy!

I love that Caden is using what he has learned from his speech, "Creativity for Christ". He is carrying this theme through out his Art Says It Projects. He came up with the idea to photograph paint. We had to find small containers to house the paint. Caden got an idea - The caps of water bottles. I looked around for empty bottles, but could only find one. So, what does an artist do? Improvise! We poured out several bottles of water into a tea pitcher. Caden then filled the caps with paint and began the creative process. I gave him tips on angles and lighting. He captured some images that just fascinate me. In fact, I can't decide which photo to use for the convention. Which one do you like? I'll be sure to post their final projects on my blog - after I get this mess cleaned up! :)

Bring on the Rain

I spoke of the journey in my last post. On Tuesday, our dear elder's journey in this life ended. He has gone on to his reward. Brother John Vines loved the church and served her well. He will be greatly missed! His funeral was today. It was a beautiful sunny day in October, but I know it was a dark cloudy day for all of his loved ones. Even though they know he is in a better place, it is still tough to know that they won't hear his laugh or see the tears that he so easliy shed for those he loved so much. He was a good man, my friend. He led by example and by the knowledge of God's Word. He had a dream of having a Christian school in the West GA area. I hope that my homescooling efforts can somehow fulfill just a piece of his dream. On this sad occasion, I find comfort in the Lord. Brother Vines was ready to leave this world - I want to be ready too when my time comes.

Things are getting put into place for my duties at Jessica Sprague. I am excited about that. Mscraps is putting out some beautiful products as well. I wanted to share this page, Bring on the Rain. A page about my happy boy.
